Wine Tasting: Hamilton Block Leconfield Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a distinguished estate in Australia which is hailed for its Cabernet Sauvignon. You will sense Eucalyptus on the nose which makes me feel like I’m driving through the Presidio in San Francisco with the windows down! This estate was founded in 1974 and is producing high-quality, very aromatic Cabernet. It is a fruit-forward wine and quite unctuous or silky in nature.

This wine will pair well with bigger, highly seasoned meats or anything char-grilled.

The color is a very dense ruby tone. Alcohol is 14.5%. This wine is ready to drink now or can be held until about 2016. Serve at approximately 60 – 63 degrees.
