Justin Thyme in Croton-on-Hudson has revamped its menu. Chef & Owner Scott Labis said that he is simply responding to customers’ tastes and is evolving the menu accordingly. He indicated that initial feedback has been extremely positive. A new wine menu is available, too.
If you are a regular, you need not to worry though. If you were a fan of their favorite classics such as the Crock of French Onion Soup, or the Apple Walnut Salad, they can still be ordered.
Additions to the menu include a BYO (build your own three-step) sandwich selection. First step is to choose your main filling, vegetarian or other, and then add your toppings, followed by your choice of a sauce. Actually they claim a fourth step: Enjoy!
New wraps have hit the menu as well. Two interesting selections are the Tuna Pinwheel and the Crispy Fish Taco.
Manager, Jessica Labis, mentions how pleased customers are at the changes to the menu. She indicated strong approval of new favorites such as the Crunchy Southwestern Buttermilk Chicken and the Meatloaf – - pure comfort food.
This restaurant has always received acclaim for their salmon dishes and they have reworked a customer favorite in some new ways as well.
The restaurant is named after Scott’s son, Justin, who passed away several years ago at the young age of 19. Justin was an artist and Scott now features some of Justin’s “doodles” on the menu covers.
Checking with them today, the menus are now available on the website. I have included links to the menus below.
It’s good when an old-favorite eatery shakes up the menu and offers something new!
